Healing Heroes Network is excited to announce that we were chosen for the 2015
BB&T Lighthouse Project!
The Lighthouse Project is an initiative that BB&T embarked on several years ago, a company wide program to make a positive difference in the communities where BB&T branches are located. When a BB&T Association Services representative contacted us at Healing Heroes Network, asking us to be a part of this amazing project, we were thrilled to accept the offer! The Lighthouse Project will be supporting two crucial Healing Heroes Network programs:Tablets For Heroes and Morale Packages.
Tablets For Heroes is a program committed to helping veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and/or Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI), after serving in Iraq or Afghanistan since 9/11/01, by providing them with tablet computers for cognitive re-development, memory assistance and much more. The Morale Package program strives to show our service men and women stationed overseas that we care and support them, by sending care packages to military bases deployed abroad with some of the comfort items from home that we take for granted, spreading hope and boosting morale among their bases.
The Lighthouse Project will be donating a number of tablets to Healing Heroes Network for the Tablets For Heroes program, and will also be purchasing and putting together Morale Packages for HHN to send overseas to military bases deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan. We are so excited to have this kind of support and partnership, right here in our own backyard!
If you live in the Tampa Bay area and have a loved one serving overseas, we would love to send their base a Morale Package, sponsored by BB&T Bank Association Services and The Lighthouse Project! Or, if you are a service member in the Tampa Bay area suffering from PTSD and/or TBI, and could benefit from the use of a tablet computer for cognitive assistance, we would love to get you approved for a Tablet.
