Cocktails for a Cause

Healing Heroes Network and SONO Café, located in the beautiful Tampa Museum of Art, are hosting an evening of military support and appreciation. Enjoy cocktails from the bar and complimentary hor d'ouevres while socializing, networking, and overlooking the historic Hillsborough River. Your support will help to raise funds for injured service men and women so they can receive the help and healing they have earned and deserve. What better way to wind down on a Friday evening than sipping cocktails and enjoying a beautiful Florida evening!

POW/MIA Recognition Day

Today is POW/MIA Recognition Day. There are a lot of words we can say, but we think John McCain, who was a prisoner of war himself, said it perfectly in 2008.

"Today, we mark National POW/MIA Recognition Day, and I salute my comrades who served their country in unusual circumstances, and remember those who never returned.

Happy 65th Birthday to the Air Force

September 18, 2012, is the 65th anniversary of the creation of the U.S. Air Force. The youngest of our armed forces, the U.S. Air Force has been helping keep us safe with its mission to "fly, fight, and win in air, space, and cyberspace."

Patriot Day: 11 years past, but we still remember

September 11th. The date has such a multitude of feelings associated with it now. Over a decade since the terror attacks that devastated our country, today we are still affected by war, fear, and sadness.

The great thing about our country, though, is that our fundamentals have remained strong. We will not give up our freedoms, values, or way of life. We will not be conquered by fear or uncertainty. Every day, men and women of our armed forces fight for America. We are honored by having such strong and brave warriors representing our country.

So, join in remembering the victims of the 9/11/01 tragedy and those who fell in the line of duty fighting the wars brought on by these attacks. Today is a day of remembrance, but it is also a day to feel loyalty and love towards one another and our country.
