Happy 237th Birthday of the U.S. Army

June 14, 1775, our army was created to help us gain independence. 237 years later, our Army is still going strong and protecting freedom worldwide.

U.S. soldiers engage in trench warfare
in WWI.
Originally created as the Continental Army to fight in the American Revolutionary War, the United States Army has lead our country in our land-based military operations. The largest of all established branches of the U.S. military,
the Army strives to meet its purpose of 1) preserving the peace and security and providing for the defense of the United States, the Commonwealths and possessions and any areas occupied by the United States 2) supporting the national policies 3) implementing the national objectives and 4) overcoming any nations responsible for aggressive acts that imperil the peace and security of the United States.

U.S. soldiers fight insurgents in Iraq.
Since the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, our Army has led the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. In over a decade of war, our Army has worked hard to protect us and fight tyranny abroad.

We at Healing Heroes hope our Soldiers know how much we appreciate their courage and sacrifices. Stay Army Strong, our Soldiers, and Happy Birthday!
