1st National Day of the Deployed

Today marks the 1st National "Day of the Deployed." The day is one of awareness of military personnel deployed in our current wars. Some locations are having events for this day, but since this is the 1st National celebration of it, few people know of its existence.

For 6 years North Dakota has celebrated this day and campaigned to have it a nationally-recognized holiday.

Veteran's Day is all about those who have served, not those currently serving. Today is the day we need to honor those defending us and our freedoms at this very moment, thank them for their service, and pray they come home savely.

This is one day we should not take them for granted. Thank you troops for all that you do! Leave a shout
