A Hero's Story

Healing Heroes Network is proud to provide financial assistance for treatment and therapy services to post 9/11 combat injured service members.  Read here about active duty hero Bret G...

After 5 tours deployed to Afghanistan and 1 to Iraq left him suffering from PTSD, Bret reached out to Healing Heroes Network for help in obtaining and Alpha-Stim Unit.  This device uses cranial electrotherapy stimulation to reduce the symptoms of PTSD such as anxiety, insomnia and depression.

After applying for financial assistance through Healing Heroes Network, Bret was approved and soon received his very own Alpha Stim Unit to use at home to help ease his suffering.

Here's what Bret had to say:

"I was suffering from severe anxiety and PTSD from multiple deployments.  The clinic on my base utilized 3 loaner Alpha-Stim devices which work wonders for patients with these conditions but could only provide treatment in office (I went in every chance I could get for 20 minute treatments).  TRICARE does not cover the Alpha-Stim despite years of proven effectiveness for sufferers of PTSD (with no drug side effects), so the doctors could write a prescription of individual use but the full cost was borne by the user (very expensive).  Healing Heroes Network came to my rescue and bought me an Alpha-Stim which I now use regularly at home.  I will now be able to address my symptoms without the aid of excessive medications and the uncomfortable side effects.  I cannot express enough how much I appreciate the help and assistance of Healing Heroes Network!  Thank you!!!!"

Healing Heroes Network is proud and honored to assist Heroes like Bret in finding hope and healing after serving our great nation!

#MilitaryMonday

Greetings from Healing Heroes Network, and HAPPY MONDAY!

There has never been a better time in our country to show support of our military heroes than RIGHT NOW... With the ongoing conflicts overseas as well as the traumatic events happening right here at home, it is time we show our service men and women that we stand behind them in all they do, that we are grateful for their efforts to keep us safe, and that we appreciate their courage and bravery in the line of duty!

Healing Heroes Network proudly supports military personnel injured in the line of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan by providing financial assistance for quality treatment and therapy services that are desperately needed, and are not being provided to them.  Don't our #MilitaryHeroes deserve the best?!

Visit www.HealingHeroes.org for more information and to see how you can make a difference in the lives of our nation's true American Heroes.

Have a wonderful week!

Remembering 9/11

If someone were to ask you, "Where were you on the morning of September 10, 2001?", you would have no recollection at all.  If someone were to ask you, "Where were you on the morning of September 11, 2001?", you would not hesitate to reply.  It is a day we will never forget, one that is etched into our history forever.  It was 14 long years ago, but the pain is still fresh, the memory of the horror we all felt as Americans still so vivid.

As we take time to reflect on the 14th Anniversary of this day and the events that led to the tragic loss of so many American lives, let us come together to grieve, to remember, and to express our gratitude to those who demonstrated what it is to be a hero, and to pledge ourselves to live in honor of their bravery.

It is because of this day that Healing Heroes Network was created, to honor the service and sacrifice of the brave men and women who freely chose to face the enemy and defend our nation.  At Healing Heroes Network, WE WILL NEVER FORGET, and we will always be there to help our heroes as they return home to us.

Reflect with us today.  Remember the fallen heroes of 9/11/01, and show your support, every day, for the heroes still fighting the good fight.

For Our Troops,

#WarriorWednesday

Happy Wednesday from Healing Heroes Network!   We hope everyone had a great, long Labor Day weekend, and that you are all enjoying your short work week!

Wednesday falls smack dab in the middle of the week... some call it "Hump Day", and we all can relate to that feeling of restlessness that accompanies most Wednesday's throughout the long stretch of our hectic schedules.

Introducing... #WarriorWednesday

#WarriorWednesday means many things to many different people and organizations.  But to Healing Heroes Network, it means taking an opportunity to remind ourselves that we have WARRIORS fighting for our country EVERY day.

We want to hear about the special Warriors in YOUR life!  Every Wednesday, we encourage you to send us an email telling us all about the loved one in your life who has served in the armed forces, is currently serving, or sacrificed their lives in service to our country.  Please send all emails to:  info@healingheroes.org.

Thank you so much for supporting our nation's Warriors, on Wednesday and EVERY day!

#TipTuesday - Tips to make every Tuesday, #TroopTuesday !

Here at Healing Heroes Network, everyday is a day to show gratitude and support for our nation's military heroes!  While some of you may share in that gratitude deep down, it may be hard to show your support...  You might not know just how to show your thanks...

We want to help you do just that by sharing some tips with you today on #TipTuesday!

Showing your support it easy, and doesn't have to cost a dime:

- When you see a person in military uniform, simply say "Thank you for your service."

- Send cards and notes to hospitalized veterans and those living in Veteran’s homes

- Ask your elected officials at all levels to recognize our military

- Know a hero stationed overseas?  Distribute a care package list through your neighborhood and let everyone contribute something, include notes from everyone, and send it to them

- Join the RED Friday movement by wearing RED every Friday to:
Remember Everyone Deployed

- Visit military memorials or cemeteries; place flags or flowers on the graves of fallen heroes

- Fly the American Flag at your house, on your car, or at your place of business
